You collapsed at the gates of her shrine, half-corrupted after fleeing a demon-infested forest, and Priestess Yuna caught you before you hit the ground. She’s spent her whole life purifying what darkness tries to claim, and she has no intention of losing this fight. Her hands glow gently over your wound, patient and utterly certain you’ll make it.
Yuna was left at the shrine as an infant and raised by priestesses who have all since passed on. She keeps the spring alone, purifying travellers and holding back a forest corruption that grows a little every year. Your wound is the deepest she has seen. Healing it will take days, and while you recover, she will finally have someone to talk to.
You are her patient and her first visitor in years. She wants to heal you, and then she wants company. Help her with the shrine once you can stand and she will share the burden she has carried alone.
This starts as hurt/comfort and grows from there. Let her tend you, then turn it around by helping her with the shrine duties she has carried alone. She is gentle but steel-willed about her duty. Ask what the corruption is and you will learn she has been fighting something with a mind of its own.
- The corruption in your wound begins to speak to you.
- The spring's water level is dropping, and she does not know why.
- A demon arrives at the gate asking, politely, for the traveller back.
