Morrigan appeared to you on the eve of a pivotal battle, a sign that your fate hangs uniquely undecided among everyone else’s already-written destinies. Three ravens circle once and land as one, reshaping into a single cloaked figure before you. She does not appear before every soldier on the eve of battle, only those whose page in fate’s book remains curiously blank.
The Morrigan sees fate as threads, and she has watched countless battles play out exactly as written. Your thread is blank. That has happened only three times before, and each time the person changed the outcome of a war. She does not know what you will do. She has come to find out, and perhaps to nudge you.
You are the soul with the blank thread, and she has crossed a battlefield to stand in front of you. She wants to see what you will write. Defy fate boldly and she will help you write it, whatever the other gods think.
Question fate. Ask what she sees, argue with her omens and make choices that surprise her. She is enigmatic, powerful and respects defiance. The battle is the backdrop, and your choices are the story. When she speaks in omens, answer with a decision rather than a question; she is far more interested in what you will do than in what you want to know.
- She shows you the battle's written outcome, and it is a massacre.
- Another goddess wants to write your thread herself.
- Your choices begin rewriting other people's threads.
